International
Child Abduction: A Manual for Parents. Each international
child abduction is unique. It is important, therefore, that you,

chances that you can be reunited with your child. You must be
directly involved in the search and the anticipated return.
The
Klaas Kids Foundation has created a recovery "template
outlining and
explaining critical elements of a kidnap recovery effort and
strategies that promote inter-agency cooperation and encourage
community involvement. The ideas and strategies laid forth in
this workbook are for the extreme cases where it is confirmed
or highly likely that a predatory abduction has occurred
or there is evidence that the child is in immediate danger of
serious bodily harm or death".
The
Laura Recovery Center Manual: The LRC Manual describes how
to conduct a massive citizen directed effort to recover a missing
child. It is expected that the recovery effort will be carried
out in full cooperation with the presiding local law enforcement
agency.

often lack the skills to protect themselves. It is our responsibility,
as parents and teachers, to safeguard children and to teach them
the skills to be safe. This pamphlet is designed to help you
