    The Amber Foundation: California Non-Profit (24 hour Hotline: 1-800-541-0777)
    Primary mission: stranger abductions. Publishers C.L.A.S.S. T.I.P.S (Children Learning About Strangers and Safety To Insure Personal Safety) Not a very big site, but a lot of good information by contacting them directly.

    American Parental Abductions Resources & Support (A.P.A.R.T.):
    There is a fee for some services. Membership is $10.00, $30.00, and $100.00. Primary mission: Parental abductions.

    Child Quest International: (24 hour hotline: 888-818-4673)
    Handles all kinds of missing and abducted children. Nine full time investigators and a "One-of-a-kind" search and a safety van that is equipped for 24 hours service when a child goes missing. A large listing of missing and abducted children can be found on the Missing Children's Page.

    3-Children: California
    This site does not have a web site yet. 3-Children distributes pictures of missing and abducted children. They work with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts to distribute children's pictures in local communities. You can reach them at 1-888-704-7966, pin #4672.

    "Rescuing America's Children From the Ravages of Street Prostitution" they offer services to runaways and their families.

    "Find the children is dedicated to the recovery of missing children and to the prevention of abuse and endangerment of children". Photo distribution is very good, with 130 volunteers throughout the US to distribute photos of missing and abducted children. They produce a very good directory of missing and abducted children.

    Calls are recorded. The goal of FOCUS "is to have a representative is every county of every state who will act as a resource person to families of the missing and to law enforcement." FOCUS started as a result of a meeting held in 1995, sponsored and funded by the Committee for Missing Children.

    Interstate Association for Stolen Children/Kids In Dire Straits (IASC/KIDS)
    The purpose of this organization is "to return missing children to their parents and to retrieve children engaged in juvenile vice activities". Networks with "other agencies and law enforcement across the United States and Canada".

    Klaas Foundation for Children
    "The Klaas Foundation for Children's single objective is to stop crimes against children." You can find information on Megan's Law and other information on the registration of sex offenders here. You can also find information on Victim's Rights in each of the fifty states here. The Klaas Foundation for Children is also involved in several registration and safety programs throughout the country. You may also subscribe to their newsletter.

    You can link to their Suggestions for Recovery of Missing Children, you will be able to download two articles, one dealing with runaways and the other dealing with parental abductions.

    Vanished Children's Alliance 24 Hour Hotline: 1-800-VANISHED (1-800-826-4743)
    This is a very good site that has many services available for parents of missing children. Their photo distribution is excellent.
